About San Diego Naval Station

Also known as 32nd St Naval Base, Naval Base San Diego is one of the largest naval bases in the country. Homeport to the Pacific Fleet, it consists of 50 ships, 13 piers and a base population of 20,000 military personnel and over 6,000 civilians. Located in the heart of San Diego harbor, Naval Base San Diego is minutes to Downtown, beaches, Lindbergh Field International Airport, NAS Coronado, and MCAS Miramar.

A city right off the water, it is no wonder San Diego, California is known as the 'birthplace of naval aviation.' This location has helped several military bases call this city home throughout the years, including the Naval Base San Diego, which is the largest of the US Navy bases on the west coast.
