In honor of Military Appreciation Month, our U.S. Military on the Move® member, Realty Austin, published some fantastic MOM client stories for their May Newsletter.
Gavin and Evie Wanted to Move Closer to Family
After being discharged due to injury while working as an infantry team leader in the 82nd Airborne Division, Gavin and his high school sweetheart, Evie, wanted to relocate from North Carolina to Texas to be closer to family. Searching for a home on top of moving cross-country is never easy, but with the help of their agent, Amanda Dudley, they bought their first home together. Today, Gavin works for the Round Rock Police department and Evie is working in education. They are happily settled down with their two dogs in Hutto, TX.
Dan and Becky Wanted Space to Relax
Dan and Becky Eckstrom hired Lawrence Phillips because they were looking for an agent who had experience with military changing duty station. Dan had very little leave time to travel from Kansas to Texas, so Lawrence showed him listings virtually, regularly keeping him informed on market trends and listing activity. Today, Dan and Becky are happily settled on 2 acres in Salado, just 25 minutes from Fort Hood, with the small town feel they wanted. Dan and Becky enjoyed working with Lawrence so much that they referred him to their mother. Lawrence helped sell her home in Kansas by finding her a great listing agent through Realty Austin’s affiliation with Leading Real Estate Companies of the World.
Lieutenant General Wanted to Retire in Austin
The Lieutenant General met Realty Austin agent Brenda Underwood while she was serving as US Army assistant chief of staff management for installation management. Austin is a popular destination for retiring veterans because of the warm weather and variety of local events to keep your mind occupied. Brenda was honored that she chose to work with her and helped her go under contract with CalAtlantic Homes using Realty Austin’s Military on The Move program. Today, she is thrilled to be making the move to Austin to retire from the military.
Army Captain Finds her Quiet Retreat
When an active army captain found out she was being transferred, she asked her friends for help finding an agent which led her to Shawn Rooker. She was looking for a quiet condo where she could relax after a busy day at Camp Mabry. After 4 months of searching, Shawn found her the right home. It was exactly what she wanted, very quiet and close to work, but it was a little over her budget. Shawn’s experience and patience guiding the seller to the right price helped her win the deal. Today, she is living in Austin and continues to call Shawn for local contractor referrals
John and Suzette Found the House of their Dreams
After countless hours of searching for the right realtor, Suzette and John, an E5 staff sergeant retired from the Air Force, hired Elle Klein. Elle helped them work through a handful of challenges together, but diligently found solutions to problems that came up keeping them calm throughout the entire process. Elle found them a beautiful home in Lakeway where John is a postman. When they shared their home buying journey with Realty Austin, they said they found the house of their dreams and Elle found lifelong clients.
Thank you to Realty Austin and their MOM team for taking care of our Veterans!
