AURORA - Aurora is the second largest city in the State of Illinois and is very accessible through five interchanges on the East/West Toll way Corridor.  Aurora features two Metra train stations for all your commuting needs.  Aurora has three main school districts East Aurora District 131, West Aurora District 129, and Indian Prairie School District 204. 12 out of 40 Aurora public schools are located in the Indian Prairie School District which GreatSchools.org have ranked 9 out of 10. BATAVIA – Batavia is the oldest city in Kane County.   Once nicknamed the “Windmill City” because of its history of numerous wind-powered mills, Batavia is now home to a company focused on a more high-tech form of energy. Fermilab is a federal government sponsored high-energy physics lab that attracts scientists from all over the world. BOLINGBROOK – Bolingbrook is a relatively new suburb of Chicago, having been incorporated only in 1965. Since then, growth has exploded.  Money Magazine rated Bolingbrook as #43 of its “Best Places to Live in the United States” and the 8th “Most Affordable Community” in the nation.  Valley View School District 365U enjoys a diverse community, which provides many opportunities and settings for learning, sharing, and celebrating.   A portion of Bolingbrook also resides within Indian Prairie School District 204 which receives excellent marks from greatschools.org.  john greene Realtor City Guide

CHANNAHON - Channahon is located at the convergence of the Des Plaines and Kankakee Rivers, forming the Illinois River. The city is easily accessible from Interstate 55 and Interstate 80, which runs through the village, and a nearby Metra station in Joliet. The Channahon local economy is strong, given its central location amidst the industrial growth occurring in the Joliet and Morris regions.  Channahon residents are served by MCHS District 111 (Minooka Community High School), JTHS District 204 (Joliet West High School), and Wilmington School District 209U (Wilmington High School). john greene Realtor City Guide

DOWNERS GROVE - According to Forbes Magazine, Downers Grove is the 8th friendliest town in the United States. Livability.com also recently named Downers Grove as one of the Top 10 Best Cities for Kids in the United States.  It is home to many diverse businesses, including the headquarters for companies such as Sara Lee, The Travelers Companies and ServiceMaster.  Both Downers Grove North and South high schools perform very well academically, and Newsweek ranked Downers Grove North in the top 6% of public schools in the country for the past three years. GENEVA – Geneva has maintained a small town charm with well-maintained homes of diverse architectural styles – many of which were built by early settlers from New England.  In 2012, Bloomburg’s Businessweek named Geneva as the ‘best place to raise kids’ in Illinois. Geneva Community Unit School District 304 is a growing district with more than 6,000 students in nine schools. The district has a “tradition of excellence”, and is rated 9 out of 10 by GreatSchools.org. GLEN ELLYN -  This community has small-town charm and a sense of civic pride. Glen Ellyn is known for its rolling hills and mature trees, and is situated around beautiful Lake Ellyn. Located west of Chicago, Glen Ellyn has easy access to trains, major highways and airports.  Glen Ellyn schools are a part of Community Consolidated School District 89 and Glen Ellyn School District 41. JOLIET – Located just 45 miles southwest of Chicago, Joliet is the fourth largest city in the state of Illinois and is home to many thriving businesses and attractions.  Joliet is very fortunate that much of its historic architecture has survived through the years.  Beautiful victorian homes and limestone buildings are a trademark of the city.  There are 38 public K-12 schools in 11 school districts, Boone/Winnebago Roe School District, IDJJ School District 428, Joliet PSD 86, Joliet Township HSD 204, Laraway CCSD 70C, Minooka CCSD 201, Plainfield School District 202, Rockdale School District 84, Troy CCSD 30C and Union School District 81. john greene Realtor City Guide

LISLE – Lisle is part of the Illinois Technology and Research Corridor and is headquarters of the Nuclear Regulatory Commission Region III. Lisle has been called “the Heart of the Silicon Prairie” as many high technology industries and worldwide headquarters call it home, such as Tellabs, Molex, IKON, AT&T. In 2007 Lisle was ranked #20 in Money Magazine’s list of “100 Best Places to Live” and #17 on their 2009 list of the “Best Places for the Rich and Single.” In June 2012, Lisle was named to West Suburban Living’s Top Twenty “Top Towns in Which to Live” list. MINOOKA – Founded in 1869, this quaint village sits along the route of the Rock Island Railroad.  Minooka manages to offer the best of both worlds, as it is an excellent community to raise a family, and is located within a short drive of many of the suburbs’ top attractions. NAPERVILLE –  Money Magazine has ranked Naperville as one of the Best Places to Live in America in 2004, 2006, 2008, 2010, 2012, and 2014. OSWEGO  - Oswego is a charming community that offers a blend of country and suburban life.  It is a great place to raise a family.  District 308 School District has consistently high scores on the Illinois Goal Assessment test, and achieves high rakings.  The Oswego Public Library, located in the downtown, is a community center for culture, learning and recreation.

PLAINFIELD  – Plainfield is easily accessible and an excellent place to live, own a business, or simply spend the day.  The Village has grown significantly over the past 10 years, with its population having almost doubled.  With a thriving central business district complemented by agriculture and industry on the outskirts of town, Plainfield offers the comforts of suburban life blended with the tranquility of country living. SANDWICH – Set in the beauty of the Fox River Valley, Sandwich is easily accessed by Interstate 55. Sandwich has a diverse economy based on business, industry, and farming. While the city has experienced some recent growth, it has worked to retain its historical heritage.  Sandwich offers nine different schools for students in Pre-K through High School, both public and private. SHOREWOOD – Shorewood Located at the intersection of I-55 and I-80, Shorewood began as a small fishing and resort village. This Will County village with a current population has grown but has maintained a character of quaint, quiet living blended with the modern conveniences of a larger city. Students attend the Troy or Minooka elementary school districts and Joliet Township or Minooka High School Districts. ST. CHARLES - St. Charles is an upscale Chicago suburb rich in character and history.  The official city slogan is the “Pride of the Fox” after the Fox River that runs through the center of town.  Highly rated schools are a trademark of St. Charles  with the primary school district - St. Charles Community District 303 - a high-achieving Pre-K – 12 system with just under 14,000 students.  john greene Realtor City Guide

SUGAR GROVE - Sugar Grove is a growing community with a population that has doubled in the last 10 years. The village is served by Kaneland CUSD 302. With a low crime rate, good schools and affordable median home prices, Sugar Grove was named one of the 50 best affordable suburbs in the country by Business Week magazine.  Waubonsee Community College, located in Sugar Grove, provides higher education opportunities in the City. WHEATON – Wheaton is a distinctive community which balances big-city amenities with small-town character.  The Wheaton Park District offers a range of educational and recreation opportunities and has been awarded the National Gold Medal for Excellence three times during the past fifteen years.  Wheaton schools are a part of Community Unit School District 200. WOODRIDGE – The Village of Woodridge is a community that offers the finest in small-city life.  Woodridge was recognized in 2007 by Money Magazine as one of the “Top 100 Places to Live”. YORKVILLE - Yorkville has managed to retain its small-town charm despite experiencing significant population growth; its population has doubled since 2000. Yorkville is located in Kendall County, which is the fastest growing county in the nation.
